Slotted Boxes

Telescope Boxes

Rigid Boxes
A rigid corrugated box comes in three pieces with two end pieces and the body of the box. The two end pieces or panels are folded into the ends of the box, with the remainder of the box being one piece that folds together. The flaps or joints are the part of the box that make it rigid.

Folder corrugated boxes are like the self-erecting rigid type. They consist of one piece of corrugated fiberboard that has been scored so it can be folded together. The types of folders include one piece, five-panel, and tray.
Tucktop Auto Bottom Boxes
The tucktop corrugated box was designed for quick, efficient, and easy setup. The structure of the box has been completely pre-glued. Initially, the box is flat, with the bottom tucked into the body of the box and the top flaps and top extended. When the sides of the box are separated and opened, the bottom flattens to allow items to be loaded. The assembly of the box takes place in one rapid motion.
Double Cover Corrugated Boxes
The body of a double cover corrugated box is formed by a square or rectangular tube. The top and bottom of the box are interchangeable telescopic covers. The pieces are stored flat. When required, the top and bottom telescopic pieces are slot-assembled and the tube is opened to allow positioning of the telescopic pieces.

The flute size determines the thickness of the box walls and gives the box its stacking strength. Flutes are referred to by a letter that designates its size. They are measured by thickness and how many flutes per linear foot. Here are the most common flute sizes:
A-Flute (33 flutes per linear foot) is the largest flute at 1/4" thick. Its thickness offers lots of protection and makes it a good option for fragile items.
B-Flute (47 flutes per linear foot) is 1/8" thick. This is a lot thinner than A-flutes, but it's deceptively strong. It's often used for counter displays or canned goods. This flute is popular for die-cut designs.
C-Flute (39 flutes per linear foot) is 3/16" thick. This is the one you're probably the most familiar with, since it's the most popular option for shipping boxes.
E-Flute (90 flutes per linear foot) is only 1/16" thick, so it's pretty thin. It doesn't offer the strength of the larger flutes but does have some advantages. It's sometimes used instead of paperboard for folding carton boxes. It's efficient to store and is good for printing.
F-Flute (125 flutes per linear foot) is 1/32" thick and is among the thinnest of the flute grades. It has a very smooth surface, so printed graphics will look sharp.

Corrugated Brown Box Manufacturing Process
Step 1
The Raw material for making the Corrugated box is made of brown Kraft paper. The first step of this process is passing the Kraft papers through Corrugator or Corrugation machine. Corrugation machine attaches 2 layers of paper and corrugate it, and auto cutter cuts it according to the size required.
Step 2
After Corrugator, the paper passes through Pasting machine, the sheets are pasted in this machine to make it thick and strong. The strength of the corrugated box can be divided in categories – three ply, five ply, seven ply etc. Depending upon the type of products used and the kind of handling required- the ply value of the boxes can vary. For example, a three ply box will have one fluted paper sandwiched between two line boards. This kind of box can be used in shipping and storing products that are not heavy and not delicate. Similarly, five ply boxes will have three linerboards and two fluted papers sandwiched together.
Step 3
The next step after Pasting machine is passing the paper through Creasing machine, sheets are creased in this machine according to size.
Step 4
After Creasing machine, Paper passes to Slotting machine, it slots or cuts the part of sheets so that the original shape of the box is ready (i.e. the size of box that is required by one)
Step 5
Finally, the sheet is passed through Stitching machine, it is the last process and stitches the sheets to make the box as per requirement.
How to Keep Corrugated Brown Box Well Stored
Proper storage: Corrugated brown box should be stored in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and moisture. Stacks of boxes should be neatly arranged and not too high, as this can cause boxes to buckle or become crushed.
